Analysis of District and City-Based Movement Attraction in Lampung Province
Abstract
Movement Attraction is fundamental in the planning of transportation facilities and infrastructure. Several researchers have tried to model the generation and attraction of movement, but the resulting models tend to be specific to certain land uses or zones. So it is necessary to model the pull of movement based on districts and cities in Lampung Province, which is the southernmost province on the island of Sumatra as well as the main link between the islands of Sumatra and Java. The purpose of this research is to identify the movement pull model based on socio-economic variables in Lampung Province. The data used is the origin and destination matrix for Lampung Province in 2025 as the dependent variable and socio-economic data as the independent variable. Data obtained through secondary data collection was then analyzed using correlation analysis and multiple linear regression. The results of the study show that the independent variable socio-economic, has a correlation with the pull of movement as the dependent variable. And based on the results of multiple linear regression analysis, it was identified that the model that describes the pull of the movement is Y -11.062 - 0.161X1 - 0.663X2 + 1.902X3 + 0.606X4 + 1.551X5 - 0.044X7. Based on the correlation analysis, it is known that the independent variable population (X1) and the labor force variable (X6) have a high correlation, so that the variable X6 must be reduced. Based on the conclusions, there are several recommendations, including variables that affect the attraction of movement, namely the variable population size, area area, number of health facilities, agricultural land area, GRDP, and the number of tourist objects, so that it can be a consideration for stakeholders for equal distribution of infrastructure and basic transportation facilities.
