Abstract
The growth of the flow of tourists both from within and outside the country continues to increase, so that the quality and quantity of facilities and infrastructure need to be improved, one of which is lodging. Building as nature is the concept of designing a cottage and its interior which is one of the answers to unite a natural cottage, especially its interior and surroundings so that tourists who spend the night can feel the atmosphere of the outer space in the inner room. This design is carried out in previous analysis sessions, including literacy research, comparisons, or field observations. After that, the information can be processed to produce a synthesis and conclusion, which then becomes a universal concept and developed into a final schematic design that is in accordance with the design methodology used. . In product design, it facilitates travel activities, especially activities for overnight stays. The large number of tourists who stay are group tourists, families, individuals, and companions, so they need design needs that are in accordance with the inn and the inside which has a natural nuance to combine the outdoor room with the inside room through material selection, optimizing the view outside, optimizing ventilation, lighting, as well as natural colors, having the elements and principles of the interior, and paying attention to the appearance of the cottage with the concept of building as nature.
